Rupee remains steady at 39.41/USD

The Indian Rupee remained steady against the US Dollar on Dec. 7, 2007.

The Reserve Bank of India`s (RBI) reference rate for the US Dollar stood at Rs 39.41 on December 7, as against Rs 39.47 on the previous working day, i.e. December 6.

However, the domestic currency appreciated 0.12% versus the Euro on the same day. The reference rate for Euro stood at Rs 57.58 on December 7 as against Rs 57.65 on the previous working day.

As revealed in the table below, the local currency appreciated 0.34% against the Great Britain Pound (GBP), and 0.42% against the Japanese Yen (taking into account 100 Yen).
