European markets declines

European markets declined on Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2007) for the first time in 5 days after a report showed that the investor confidence in Germany touched 15 year low.

The region`s biggest engineering company, Siemens AG and Electrolux AB declined.

Rio Tinto Group lost the most among mining companies after copper prices declined in London.

UK`s benchmark index FTSE 100 fell 19.20 points, or 0.29% to trade at 6,546.20.

French benchmark index CAC 40, fell 27.97 points, or 0.49%, to trade at 5,722.95.

Germany`s benchmark index DAX lost 34.83 points, or 0.43%, to trade at 7,998.53.
