Bajaj Hindusthan commences operations at new 7,000 TCD sugar plant

Bajaj Hindusthan announced today the commencement of operations at new 7,000 TCD sugar plant at Maqsudpur in District Shahjanpur, located in Central Uttar Pradesh.

With this new plant, the aggregate operating capacity of the company, during the current sugar season (2007-08) increased to 96,000 TCD from the earlier capacity of 89,000 TCD.

Shares of the company declined Rs 8.4, or 3.12%, to settle at Rs 261.05. The total volume of shares traded was 1,516,607 at the BSE. (Monday)
