JSW Steel posts 16% growth in crude steel production

JSW Steel announced the growth in Crude Steel, HR Coils, HR Plates and pre-painted Galvanized Coils of 16%, 10%, 88% and 14% respectively in November 07.

JSW Steel is engaged in the production and distribution of iron and steel products and generation of power. Its wholly owned subsidiaries include JSW Steel (UK), which is involved in the investment in steel-related and steel allied businesses; JSW Natural Resources, an investment holding company, and JSW Steel Processing Centres.

JSW Steel`s upstream products include mild steel hot rolled coils, mild steel hot rolled plates and sheets, and tolerances. Its downstream products include hot rolled plates and cold rolled-close annealed (CRCA) sheets and coils. These products are used in a number of applications, such as automobiles, infrastructure, railways, electrical panels, structural engineering, appliances, furniture and transformers.

Shares of the company gained Rs 45.45 , or 4.19% to settle at Rs 1,129.45. The total volume of shares traded was 534,302 at the BSE.(Wednesday).
