US stocks surged on Wednesday (April 16) on reassuring quarterly results from a broad group of companies.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 256.80 points, or 2.08%, to 12,619.27. The NASDAQ composite index added 64.07 points, or 2.80%, to 2,350.11.
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note, which moves opposite to its price, rose to 3.71% from 3.57% late Tuesday.
Majority of Indian ADRs ended with gains on Wednesday barring Tata Motors that ended marginally lower 0.13% at USD 15.57.
