Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals surged 23.11% to Rs 70.05 and was the top gainer from BSE`s A group shares. Nagarjuna Fertilisers & Chemicals spurted 12.91% to Rs 46.80 and was third biggest gainer in A group. Fertiliser shares rallied following initial forecast of a near-normal monsoon this year by the Indian Meteorological Department.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) jumped 14.58% to Rs 33.80. It was the second biggest gainer in A group. As per reports, the company is planning to raise over $1 billion via stake sale to private equity and strategic investors.
i-flex Solutions soared 12.60% to Rs 1289.80. It was the fourth biggest gainer in A group.
Ispat Industries gained 10.77% to Rs 32.90. It was the fifth biggest gainer in A group. As per recent reports, the company plans to raise Rs 1,000 crore through a mix of a rights issue and a foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) to part-finance its Rs 2,292 crore upcoming new projects and capacity expansion programme.
