Net profit of CMC rose 18.01% to Rs 23.07 crore in the quarter ended March 2008 as against Rs 19.55 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2007. Sales declined 3.56% to Rs 240.76 crore in the quarter ended March 2008 as against Rs 249.66 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2007.
For the full year, net profit rose 37.63% to Rs 88.22 crore in the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 64.10 crore during the previous year ended March 2007. Sales declined 1.18% to Rs 977.20 crore in the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 988.91 crore during the previous year ended March 2007.
