European stocks advanced today, paced by chemical makers and phone companies, namely the world`s largest fertilizer maker Yara International and Europe`s third-largest phone company TeliaSonera. Drugmaker Novartis also rose in early trade.
UK`s benchmark index, FTSE 100 advanced 4.40 points, or 0.07%, to trade at 5,985.10.
French benchmark index, CAC 40 gained 36.19 points, or 0.74%, to trade at 4,898.33.
Germany`s benchmark index, DAX added 49.17points, or 0.74%, to trade at 6,731.75.
