GTL InfrastructureQ4 losses at Rs 275 mn

GTL Infrastructure, part of Global group and pioneer in shared telecom infrastructure said the loss for the quarter ended March 2008 has narrowed. During the quarter, loss of the company declined to Rs 275 million compared with a loss of Rs 300.80 million in the same quarter last year.

The company posted loss of Rs 0.40 a share during the quarter compared with loss of Rs 3 a share in previous year period.

Net sales for the quarter jumped 2.59 times to Rs 421.90 million, while total income for the quarter surged 2.48 times to Rs 473.10 million, when compared with the prior year period.

GTL Infrastructure, established in 2004 and part of Global group, is the pioneer in shared telecom infrastructure in India. It offers ready to use passive infrastructure to wireless telecom operators. Shares of the company gained Rs 1.25, or 2.59%, to settle at Rs 49.45. The total volume of shares traded was 3,035,316 at the BSE (Thursday).
