IEC Softwares to allot convertible warrants into shares

A meeting of the board of directors of IEC Softwares will be held on Jan. 04, 2008, to discuss about the proposed allotment of warrants convertible into equity shares to the persons belonging to promoter / non promoter category.


Further the board of the company will also discuss about the formation of overseas subsidiary.

IEC Software (IECSOFTW) is engaged in computer education and training; software training, development and consultancy activities. The company provides these trainings to the students of government schools and colleges. Its operations also involve the franchisee business. The client list includes government schools of NCT, CEP-I and II, Gyanoday project in Madhya Pradesh, IEC Leasing and Capital Management, government schools and colleges of Rajasthan. A subsidiary of IEC Software is engaged in the leasing business.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.9, or 4.95%, to trade at Rs 40.3. The total volume of shares traded was 15,993 at the BSE. (11.52 a.m., Friday)
