Emco may gain on stock split proposal

Power equipment maker Emco said on Tuesday, 8 January 2008, its board will meet on 17 January 2008, to consider a stock split.

Supreme Industries has reported 36.6% growth in net profit to Rs 13.07 crore in Q2 December 2007 over Q2 December 2006. Net sales has risen 7.96% to Rs 288.08 crore in Q2 December 2007 over Q2 December 2006.

Binani Industries said on Tuesday, 8 January 2008, its board will meet on 19 January 2008, to consider raising upto $125 million through the equity or debt route by its subsidiary, Binani Cement. The fund will be used for capacity expansion and overseas acquisition.

Himadri Chemicals & Industries today said its board will consider issue of foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) along with December 2007 quarter results at its board meeting on 16 January 2008.

iGATE Global Solutions’s consolidated net profit rose 81.8% to Rs 29 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q3 December 2006. Revenue declined 0.67% to Rs 209.30 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q3 December 2006.

Bliss GVS Pharma said on Tuesday, 8 January 2008, its board will meet on 18 January 2008 to consider stock split.

Sarda Energy & Minerals said on Tuesday it had temporarily closed down its iron ore mines due to worker unrest. In a separate statement, Sarda said it had signed a deal with the state government of Chhattisgarh for installing a 1,100-megawatt thermal power plant in the state, replacing an earlier deal for setting up a 600-megawatt plant.

SREI Infrastructure Finance said on Tuesday it plans to raise $50 million through instruments compliant with Islamic Shariat law.
