Ahluwalia Contracts gets orders worth Rs 3,870 mn

Ahluwalia Contracts India secured three contracts worth Rs 3,870 million.

The company bagged a project valuing at Rs 2,297 million from CPWD for upgradation and renovation of Dr. SPM Swimming Pool Complex (Talkatora Stadium), New Delhi. The Stadium would be the venue for commonwealth games to be held in 2010. Recently, company had also bagged the Rs 6,880 million Commonwealth Games 2010 Village Residential project.

The company has received another order worth Rs 1,116 million from Chalet Hotels (K. Raheja Corp.) for Civil & Structural Work for Hotel `Renaissance` at Powai, Mumbai.

Further, the firm secured an order amounting at Rs 458.9 million order from Phoenix Mills to built hotel in Mumbai.

With inclusion of above orders, the total order book of the company currently stands at around Rs 31,500 million.

Shares of the company gained Rs 12.45, or 3.48%, to trade at Rs 370. The total volume of shares traded was 42,528 at the BSE. (10.48 a.m., Friday)
