Era Infra Engineering (formerly Era Constructions India), an integrated infrastructure development company, reported 38.90% increase in net profit to Rs 276.43 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007 as against Rs 199.01 million in the corresponding quarter, last year.
Total income for this period rose 63.41% to Rs 3,403.91 million as compared with Rs 2,083.10 million.
Net sales for the latest quarter rose 63.33% to Rs 3,351.10 million as against Rs 2,051.74 million in the same quarter, a year ago.
The Diluted EPS, after extraordinary items, stood at Rs 9.12 for the quarter ended December 2007.

Era Infra Engineering (EIEL) was incorporated in the year 1990. EIEL is a fully integrated infrastructure company participating in India`s core infrastructure and construction sectors. The company develops and constructs highways, railways, airports, power and industrial projects, institutions and universities and residential and commercial complexes.
Shares of the company declined Rs 11, or 1.29%, to trade at Rs 842.5. The total volume of shares traded was 47,788 at the BSE. (11.49 a.m., Monday)
