Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turned net buyers in equities worth Rs 7,251 million (USD 179.80 million) on January 3. They bought equities worth Rs 60,071 million and sold equities worth Rs 52,819 million. Till January 3, they have been net buyers in equities worth Rs 11,134 million.
According to provision data available on NSE, FIIs turned net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 160.1 million on both BSE and NSE on January 4. They bought equities worth Rs 45,423 million and sold equities worth Rs 45,262.9 million. Total turnover in cash segment of NSE stood at Rs 236,861.8 million on January 4.
FIIs turned net buyers in debt segment on January 3 to the tune of Rs 3,879 million (USD 96.20 million). They bought debts worth Rs 3,909 million and sold debts worth Rs 30 million. Till January 3, they have been net buyers in debt worth Rs 2,953 million.
FIIs remained net sellers in derivatives worth Rs 9,080.4 million on January 3. They bought derivatives worth Rs 34,386 million and sold derivatives worth Rs 43,466.4 million.
