Market wide put-call ratio advances 29.35%

The market closed on a strong note on Wednesday. The overall market breadth was positive, around 74.8% of shares advanced on BSE and 78.6% of shares advanced on NSE. Out of the total 2,891 stocks traded at the BSE, 2,164 advanced, 687 declined, while 40 remained unchanged.

Volumes on BSE rose and NSE fell on Wednesday. The BSE clocked a turnover of Rs 94.1 billion and the total turnover on NSE amounted to Rs 212.8 billion. The BSE Sensex closed with a reasonable gain of 208.57 points, or 1.07%, at 19,738.07, while the broad-based NSE Nifty closed at 5,900.05, up 41.7 points.

On the derivative side at NSE, the market-wide put call ratio advanced 29.35% to 0.70 on Wednesday from 0.54 on Tuesday.

Nifty open interest put call ratio was 1.32. Futures open interest advanced 2.19%.
Nifty puts added 1.16 million numbers in open interest. Nifty calls added 616 thousand numbers in open interest.

HDFC, HUL and Glaxo topped the Nifty`s most delivered chart, while SAIL, NALCO and RPL topped the Nifty`s least delivered chart.
