Poor Q4 numbers ail Dr Reddy`s Laboratories

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 254.05 points, or 1.43%, at 17185.23, on negative cues from Asian markets. US crude closed at a record above $127 a barrel on Monday, 19 May 2009, raising concerns about its impact on consumer spending and corporate profits.

On BSE, 88,126 shares were traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 42,078 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 656.50 and a low of Rs 634 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 760 on 2 January 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 501 on 12 February 2008.

The scrip had outperformed the market over the past one month till 16 May 2008, gaining 7.24% compared to the Sensex`s 5.79% gain. It had also outperformed the market in the past one quarter, rising 19.58% compared to Sensex`s 3.76% fall.

The mid-cap drug maker has an equity capital of Rs 84.09 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

The current price of Rs 639 discounts its Q3 December 2007 annualised EPS of Rs 10.06, by a PE multiple of 63.51.

The company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing pharmaceutical products. The group operates in seven segments: generics, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and intermediates, formulations, critical care and biotechnology, custom pharmaceutical services, drug discovery and other.
