Clarus Finance drops preferential issue on poor mkt condition

The board of directors of Clarus Finance & Securities, at its meeting held on Mar. 06, 2008, decided to drop the plan of issue of shares on preferential allotment basis, in view of the poor stock and financial market situation.

Mittal Securities Finance changed its name to Clarus Finance and Securities in October 2007. The company is engaged in the business of financial activities. The main activities of the company include share & stock broking, investment in shares & stocks, dealing in shares & stocks (future & options), miscellaneous consultancy, dealing in shares & stocks (delivery based); and sale of investments.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.02, or 0.25%, to trade at Rs 7.95. The total volume of shares traded was 7,175 at the BSE. (10.25 a.m., Friday)
