Indian software company Mphasis sacks 200 employees

Mphasis, the IT & BPO services company is learnt to have shed around 200 people, reports Economic Times.

Mphasis has retrenched 200 employees at its Chennai center and all this in a span of two days last week. It is understood that the retrenchment is largely centered around the performance issue and it has probably affected those who were on the bench.

Shares of the company closed down Rs 0.55, or 0.24%, at Rs 230.6. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 546,443. (Tuesday)
