US stocks declined on Tuesday (February 5) after investors saw an unexpected contraction in the service sector as evidence the economy is sinking into recession.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 370.03 points, or 2.93%, to 12,265.13. The NASDAQ composite index 73.28 points, or 3.08%, to 2,309.57.
The yield on the 10-year treasury note, which moves opposite to price, fell to 3.56% from 3.64% late Monday.
Majority of Indian ADRs ended negative, barring Dr Reddy`s which ended higher 0.80% at USD 13.85.
